Principal's Message

Welcome to Takoma Academy! On behalf of the Takoma Academy teachers and staff, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you as you navigate our school’s website.

Founded in 1904, Takoma Academy is a place where students demonstrate pride, academic excellence, and spiritual fervor.  We partner with our families and extend our collective support to help each child actualize their spiritual and academic potential through intensive learning opportunities.

Our school provides a supportive and nurturing environment that enables students to feel a sense of belonging through celebrations of academics, sports, and personal achievements. Teachers create a comfortable space in the classroom that allows students to participate and engage in the learning with ease.  Expectations are set, modeled, and encouraged to ensure that students have a voice and are treated with respect.
